Chocolate Place Cards

Nothing gives me more pleasure than having a party favor do double duty. What I mean by that is to have it serve two purposes. Not only does it lessen some of your planning - but it also can lessen your expenses! One of my favorite such favors is the 'chocolate place card'!
First of all, everyone loves an edible party favor. And if it is chocolate favor - so much the better! Which is why chocolate place cards are the perfect party accompaniment.
There are two types of chocolate place cards:
1) An entirely chocolate place card.
These are very special, costly and require the skill of a exceptionally talented chocolatier. Every ounce of these sizable place cards is edible - including the names of your guests that grace each place card and whatever decoration (gold, silver, etc) surrounds the place card. They are then beautifully wrapped in cellophane and ribbon and set out on the seat assignment table. Guests will 'ooh' and 'ahh' as they search out their names and their faces will light up when they realize that they actually get to take home these personalized works of art.
2) Chocolate Candy Bar with a Personalized Place Card Label.
This is typically a more affordable, yet not as high-end, version of a chocolate place card favor. Still wonderful in every way, though! There are two versions of this option: 1) you purchase the chocolate candy bar and personalized label fully assembled, or 2) you purchase just the wrapper and then you slip the candy bar into the personalized label. Either option comes with space on the label specially designated for your guests name and their table assignment.
Whatever type you choose - know that your guests will love that you decided on a chocolate place card!
